I have never thought much about Phil Collins. In my mind, he did bad covers of Supremes songs, played the drums in Genesis, and is the man who gave us “Invisible Touch”. I could have done with out all of that. He is responsible for “In the Air Tonight” which is cool in Risky Business and even cooler in the gorilla ad, which I cannot link to. But, I have almost changed my mind on Collins after hearing his solo version of “Behind the Lines”. I knew it as a blah Genesis song, but the version below is really pretty great with the horns and such.
